Fifi's French Toast

I haven't posted for a long time and I actually made this six months ago. But I remember that this was one of the best meals I made. I like this French Toast because it has strawberries and powdered sugar on top.

Ingredients:

2 eggs
1/2 cup milk
1/8 tsp. cinnamon, if you like
2 tablespoons butter or margarine
6 sliced firm textured white bread

How to Make It:

Beat eggs in a mixing bowl. Stir in milk and cinnamon. Pour into a pie plate.
Melt half the butter in a skillet on medium heat. Dip both sides on bread into egg mixture and set in skillet. Cook both sides.

Cook until bottoms are light brown (1 1/2 to 2 minutes).

Top with fresh fruit and powdered sugar.

Sweet Mingle Mix

This is the recipe of the Sweet Mingle Mix.

I made it with pretzel sticks, chex cereal, cheerios and mixed nuts. To me it looks like a giant's breakfast.

We melted white almond bark and poured it over the cereal mixture.

This is where I stirred all of the mixture of things together. It was very hard to do because the chocolate was getting hard.

And then I put colorful M & Ms in and I stirred it again.

I put all of the cereal mixture onto a cookie sheet and let it set so the chocolate would harden. I made this on Monday for our family night treat. I thought it was really, really good.

Monster Cookies

These are the Monster Cookies that I made. If Alyssa reads this, they are not the same kind of monster cookies that you made.

The recipe gave me choices of what I could put in the cookies and I chose peanut butter cups. I had to cut them all in half. They were chocolate chip cookies, but with out the chocolate chips.

I put 2 1/2 cups of peanut butter cups in the dough and I mixed them too long and they got all chopped up. And then Aubrey put a bunch of baking soda in the mixing bowl and I had to take a lot of dough out to get the extra baking soda out.

My dad thought the cookies were too thin and so he made a snowman of dough and the cookie came out so thick. I thought the cookies were delicious. I took some of the cookies in my school lunch.

Crinkly Fries

This is me mixing seasoning in a bag with the potatoes. The seasoning didn't go on the potatoes; it stayed in the bag. We baked them on a cookie sheet in the oven.

This is after they cooked. They tasted very good and I had a whole big helping of them.

Caramel Corn

You probably couldn't tell, but me & Aubrey were pretty scared of the popping popcorn!

Here is the popcorn in the pan with caramel on it.

Now the popcorn is all done. Me and my mom tried it and it didn't taste good at all!

Teeny Tiny Tacos

On Saturday I made some good tacos for dinner.

When I was cooking the meat, it splattered on me and it stung my arm. This is me pouring salsa on the meat.

Even though the tacos in the cookbook are hard shell I made mine soft tacos because I like soft tacos better.

This is the inside of the taco.

I had a good experience making some good, yummy tacos.

Light-as-a-Feather Pancakes

This is a recipe I tried out on Sunday. I messed up only once but then I fixed it. I put in one tablespoon of baking powder instead of one teaspoon. I scooped it out.

Aubrey liked helping me mix up the dry ingredients.

This is the batter of the pancakes. It has little chocolate chips in it.

This is a bag of batter that is being squeezed out. It was easier to pour it out of a cup.

It was fun flipping over the pancakes. They were funny shapes.

These pancakes tasted like the ones we had on our vacation to New York City.
